本着圣. 莫洛卡岛的达米安, 基督教服务 at 达米安高中 offers students the opportunity to live our 任务 beyond the walls of the classroom. 基督教服务 encourages students to take socially responsible action by offering substantive, 富有同情心的, 和信仰-filled 服务. 在圣. 达明’s model of servant leadership, students are especially encouraged to volunteer in organizations whose projects are supportive of those in need.

 

The faculty and staff of 达米安高中 provide students with a broad range of opportunities to acquire knowledge and to develop the critical thinking, 阅读, and writing skills necessary for future academic success. Students learn to analyze, 解决, and understand problems, and express their ideas in a clear and meaningful fashion. The emphasis in the curriculum is college preparatory; all students will have met or exceeded the subject requirements for ad任务 to the CSU and UC systems. Upon graduation, students will possess a diverse academic knowledge in required and elective courses.

 

The co-curricular development of 奖学金 of a 达明 student complements his intellectual development. The program offered at 达明 includes interscholastic sports, visual and performing arts exhibitions and performances, debate and robotics competitions, sports medicine field work, 俱乐部, 及ASB活动. Within these activities, students have opportunities to develop leadership, 自律, and social-emotional growth.

 

达明’s primary 任务 is to teach as Jesus did. Focused on developing men of 服务, 奖学金, 和信仰, all faculty and staff seek to integrate in their teaching the four dimensions of Catholic education: message, 社区, 敬拜, 和服务. 

Through academic instruction, 服务, 撤退, liturgies and Eucharistic adoration, students are formed in the Catholic faith tradition and inspired by the charism of Saint 莫洛凯岛的达米安 to recognize one's self-worth and the dignity of others.
